FOUNDER

KOYA was born
from a life spent looking.

At people. At craft. At materials. At possibility.

THE BEGINNING

The work was about recognizing potential.

I began my career in New York City as an intern in the fashion industry and, through twenty-five years of work, dedication and determination, became Director of International Scouting and Development at some of the world’s leading modeling agencies.

My role was never simply about discovering beautiful faces. It was about identifying potential — and helping it become visible.

A LIFE IN FASHION

The diamond
in the rough.

The work took me across countries and cultures, discovering, developing and mentoring emerging talent—the majority of whom went on to become recognized names in the fashion industry. I was always looking for the extraordinary, often before it was obvious to anyone else.

That instinct never left me.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

What fascinated me was the humanity behind the work.

When I stepped away from fashion, I was ready for a different creative life. Travel had introduced me to cultures where craftsmanship remains alive—where stone is carved, wood is shaped, metal is forged and textiles are woven by hand.

Each piece carries the trace of its maker: knowledge passed through generations, materials understood through touch, and beauty created through patience and time.

KOYA

KOYA grew from that way of seeing.

KOYA takes what already has soul and helps it become more fully itself. It brings together architecture, interiors, craft and the work of exceptional makers to create homes that feel layered, personal and alive.

Not decorated houses.
Worlds of their own.

THE INSTINCT

I have always been drawn to the potential of something becoming more beautiful, more complete, and more fully itself.
